Animated Video Ideas

1. The first idea that comes to mind is similar to the V is for Vendetta clip that we saw in class. Dropping all the names of different web development tools and processes onto a website screen, and then my logo cleaning them all up making it look like an easy one stop shop solution for all their questions.

2. A tangled mess of wires that simulate the web and having them unravel into my logo. I couldn't find a video or commercial that gives a good example of what I'm thinking...and it may be too advanced for this project...but sounded like a good idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iV9h6jYk2po

3. An image of words being typed on a screen as they type out the list of things to think about when designing a website. Then the logo wipes it all clean. Similar to how the messages appear in this commercial

Corporate Identity

1) What is your business?
Website Design and Marketing Promotional Documents

2) Describe your business in one sentence
Cost effective web design, launch, hosting setup and maintenance for small new and existing companies wanting online exposure.

3) Who is your target audience?
New and existing small business entrepreneurs needing help in setting up a website and consistent brand image.

4) Who are your competitors?
Online CMS website hosting providers like Yahoo, GoDaddy and Wild Apricot, and custom web designers in the region.

5) What makes them better/worse than your product/service?
Online solutions offer little or no personal service via in person or by phone. Regional website designers charge high prices for a custom design. I plan to design a program using the vast number of templates to make a custom feeling site, personal service and keep the costs as low as possible.

6) Do you currently have an identity?
I've started with the RedE2Go Logo design and experimenting with different message and tag line ideas with the color scheme and images.

7)What do you like about it and what don’t you like about it?
I do like the basic design, but can imagine some additional versions with a more 3 dimensional feel using gradients and shading to make it more active on the media.

8) How do you want your image to be seen in two years?
As a symbol that's recognizable and portraying the quality and value that the company strives to obtain.

These following questions might seem silly, but their purpose is to help generate ideas.

9) If your company was an animal, what animal would it be and why?
Thoroughbred race horse. Majestic and fast, but at the same time...tame and playful.

10) If your company/brand was a person, who would it be and why?
Morgan Freeman...just seems like you can trust him and his advise.

11) If your company/brand was an object, what would it be?
A drag race car. The light tree on the strip would promote the idea of getting started and the car itself launches toward the finish line.

12) If your customer was a cartoon character, who would it be?
Roadrunner...always ahead of the Coyote and his "acme" generic branded resources. Seems to fit. Too bad it's been done before in cable internet access.

Stairway Collage

I found the cloud like stairs and decided to put a row of shops on either side. So I found a snowy street that reflected the light like I liked, copied and reflected the image to run down both sides. I used the erasure tool to remove some of the storefronts to let the stairs come through and give them a 3 dimensional feel. I also used the blur, smudge and stamp tools to enhance the clouds on the left bottom and removed sections of the building on the left top to give it a little different feel from the right side. The "closed" sign I placed using the perspective tool and then the transform tool to get the right dimensions and placement. The colors worked well because it has a lot of gold tones which goes along with the message of the lyric...and of course a lady we all know...who doesn't know Fergie? I had to add shadows underneath and next to her on the stairs and a little on the wall. The text seemed like it fit well with the antique looking gold color and old English font. I just added and reduced the opaque level on the Led Zeppelin banner to have it seem coming out of the background and not have too much contrast.
